Description Ergonomic polymer clay crochet hooks have a clay body that is hand molded around a metal crochet hook, and is designed to reduce hand fatigue and pain while crocheting. The stitch marker measures approximately 1/2″ – 5/8″ in diameter. Materials: The metal crochet hook base is a Susan Bates aluminum crochet hook – except for the 4.25mm, which is a Boye aluminum crochet hook. Polymer clay is sculpted and added to the crochet hook and baked. Minwax is used to seal the finished clay portion. For the clay stitch marker, a similar process is taken in which polymer clay is sculpted, then a stainless steel eye pin is added before baking. Crochet hooks themselves vary in color, and coordinate with the size crochet hook, just as you’ve seen in stores and with ones in your stash. I love this color coding system to help distinguish hook sizes from a far! Aluminum hook colors cannot be altered, and may be subject to change from time to time as produced by their companies. The hook you see in the photos is an H8/5mm, and is a bluish, teal color at time of posting in April of 2024.
