Note: This thermometer will only work with single-wall steel stovepipe. It will not work with our insulated stovepipe. The magnet will stick to our standard black single-wall pipe. If you have stainless single-wall pipe, the magnet won’t stick, but you can attach it with a screw through the hole in the middle. If you don’t have any single-wall pipe to stick the thermometer to, you can attach it to the side of your stove. It won’t be as accurate attached to your stove, but it should give you a good idea of how you’re doing.
