Direct Air kits are designed to fit the Dwarf 3kW, Dwarf 4kW, and Dwarf 5kw stoves. The Dwarf 3kW LITE stove is not compatible with the direct air. If you have a legacy Dwarf stove (one with a single air control lever on the bottom instead of two), the direct air for the Dwarf 3kW is backward compatible with your stove. The female end of our 3″ single-wall stovepipe fits nicely over the inlet of our Direct-Air kit and can be used to make the connection between the direct air box and our outside air supply. Alternatively, you can use 3″ flexible aluminum dryer vent. Compatibility Single Wall Rear Exit Tee: The Direct Air intake has a close fit when used in conjunction with the rear exit tees on some stoves. Dwarf 3kW: Flatten the handle on the rear exit tee cap or cut it off to fit the direct air intake underneath. You’ll need to remove the direct air intake box to be able to remove the tee cap for flue cleaning. Dwarf 4kW: You may need to flatten the handle on the rear exit tee cap to be able to remove the cap for flue cleaning without needing to remove the direct air intake box. Dwarf 5kW: No modification necessary. Double Wall Insulated Tee: The double wall insulated tee takes up more space than the single wall tee but it’s still possible to fit the direct air intake and the tee on your stove together. Dwarf 3kW: A very, very tight fit. You’ll only be able to fit the double wall insulated tee on the back of your stove with the direct air intake box if you cut off the post on the tee cap and plug the hole with high heat silicone. You’ll then be able to fit the two together and will just need to remove the direct air intake box to be able to remove the tee cap for flue cleaning. Dwarf 4kW: It will be a tight fit to get the tee cap on and off during flue cleaning but it can be done. Alternatively, you can remove the direct air intake to make cap removal easier. Dwarf 5kW: No modification necessary.
