An unusual edition of what is considered to be the first ever Arab-American novel, by the Lebanese-American writer Ameen Rihani. First written in 1911, it tells the story of two Lebanese men who leave to find work in the US. With illustrations by Khalil Gibran, a contemporary and friend of Rihani who also travelled from Lebanon to New York in the early 20th century. Published in 1973 by the Rihani House in Beirut.
