A first edition of Conrad’s 1919 novel, set in 1870s Marseilles, about a love triangle set in the time of Spain’s Third Carlist War. It was serialised in Lloyd’s Magazine from 1918 to 1920, and was one of the author’s final works. The Polish-British writer remains best known for his earlier books, especially Heart of Darkness and Lord Jim, but also Nostromo and The Secret Agent.  Hardback, published by T.
