This is the first appearance of the work in English, with the text translated from the Arabic by Andrew Ghareeb. They include musings on the soul, fame, earth and revelation. With five black-and-white sketches by Gibran himself. Hardback, published by Alfred A. Knopf in New York in 1934. Bound in black cloth with gilt lettering and motifs. In very good condition indeed.
