Burma Bradshaw on Air, Sea and Rail Travels – 1951
A rare issue of this short-lived travel periodical from Burma (now Myanmar), published in Rangoon (now Yangon) in 1951. Contains dozens of original advertisements, with detailed listings of railway and aeroplane timetables, road distances, travel fares, company directories, plus a guide to clubs, theatres, banks, hotels and other activities in Rangoon. This is Volume 1, Issue 2, for the quarter ending September 1951, three years after the country formally gained its independence and became the Union of Burma. This period came to an end in 1962 with the military takeover by General Ne Win. String-bound internally with a card wrapper. Binding is tight, wrapper is partially detached. Previous owner’s name in Burmese written to title page.  184 pages, black-and-white. 19cm x 13cm. Only three other issues are listed on WorldCat, held in US institutional libraries.
