A rare signed autobiography by the prominent Syrian politician Fakhri al-Baroudi (1887-1966). Al-Baroudi was one of the leading figures in the Syrian independence movement against the French in the first half of the 20th century, and the leader of the National Bloc movement. These are his memoirs, reflecting on his life and career in Syria and his time spent overseas. Published in 1951 by Dar al Hayat in Beirut. Softback, stapled binding with card wrapper. In good condition. Externally a few marks and creases to boards, but no major folds. Internally bright and clean. Signed by the author with a dedication.
