Roald Dahl – George’s Marvellous Medicine – First Edition 1981
An unusually bright first edition of this darkly comic children’s tale by Roald Dahl, about a boy who hatches an ingenious plot to get rid of his horrible Grandma. This is one of the harder Dahl titles to find in good condition. Illustrated throughout with sketches by Quentin Blake, who worked on many of the author’s books in this period. Hardback. First edition, first impression, published in 1981 by Jonathan Cape. Original dust jacket, which is not price-clipped, showing the £3.95 price. No previous owner’s inscription inside: all contents clean and bright. Minor creasing to top of jacket.
