Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland was written by Carroll in the 1860s and tells the story of a girl who falls into a rabbit hole and discovers a fantasy world beneath. It remains one of the best-loved children’s stories to this today, and was highly influential on the children’s book genre and beyond.
